By: Marketwire .
Jul. 6, 2009 06:21 PM

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/06/09 -- Travel search site Skyscanner has launched new hotel search functionality at http://www.skyscanner.net/hotels. Powered by HotelsCombined, the hotel search function allows Skyscanner users to search over 200,000 hotels across 195 countries, comparing prices from the biggest suppliers in the business such as Holiday Inn, Hilton, Booking.com, Hotels.com and LateRooms.com.

Frank Skivington, commercial VP for Skyscanner, said, "As well as finding the cheapest flights and car hire, now Skyscanner users can find the cheapest hotels too. It's all part of the strategy for Skyscanner to become a one stop shop for travel, building on our already immensely popular flight search engine."

Skivington added, "Industry expertise was the foundation for the partnership. We wanted to ensure we partnered with a provider that understood the complexities of travel price comparison. HotelsCombined's knowledge is comprehensive, their private branding solution flexible and they offer currency and language facilities to cater to the worldwide market."

Yury Shar, Managing Director of HotelsCombined, welcomed the new partnership: "We are extremely pleased to partner with Skyscanner. This partnership offers tremendous benefits to Skyscanners' users who can now search and find the perfect accommodation deal by comparing the best travel sites. For our supplier partners this is an exciting distribution expansion made seamless by the sophistication of HotelsCombined's advanced partnership platform."
