The Dell Download Store today added another top-tier software publisher – Adobe Systems Incorporated – to its U.S. roster of convenient, competitively priced downloads. Dell’s online software superstore, established in January, features downloads from a variety of publishers, including four of the largest software providers in the U.S. – Adobe, Microsoft, Intuit and Symantec.
The News The Dell Download Store becomes the first non-Adobe site where people can go to download Adobe software such as Acrobat®, Photoshop® Elements and Premiere® Elements. The agreement is similar to an arrangement announced with Microsoft on June 11.
Advantages include:
The choice and convenience of buying popular software via downloads.
Savings of up to 15 percent off suggested retail prices when Adobe products are downloaded from Dell.
Avoidance of shipping costs and elimination of packaging material required for boxed software.
If Dell Download Store customers need to reload software on a new PC or to resolve problems such as a crashed hard drive, they can log in to their “digital locker” and download previously purchased titles at no extra charge.
Quote “Our agreement with Adobe is another proof point that the Dell Download Store is a convenient, money-saving online destination for people in the market for the most popular software titles.” -- Geoff Surkamer, general manager, Global Consumer Software.
