MyFax Now Accessible via Intuit App Center

By: Business Wire
Nov. 5, 2009 01:09 PM

MyFax, the world’s fastest-growing Internet fax service, today announced that small business users can now access the award-winning service through the Intuit App Center in QuickBooks® 2010, an application store where users can find, try and buy Web-based business software applications.

For $10 per month, small businesses can easily obtain a toll-free fax number from which they can send and receive faxes from the Intuit Workplace site. Sign up and billing is simplified: users registered with the Intuit Workplace can access MyFax using their existing Workplace login and can pay for the service using the payment method already on file.

“The Intuit App Center is a great resource for QuickBooks users looking for easy and affordable technology to help run their businesses,” said Steve Adams, vice president of marketing for Protus, the provider of MyFax. “We’re excited to be able to offer our Internet fax service to millions of Intuit customers who are looking for an affordable and more convenient way of sending and receiving faxes.”

MyFax sends and receives faxes using an e-mail account, removing the need for a dedicated phone line and fax machine. The service enables users to manage their fax communication and corresponding document management workflow more efficiently and at a lower cost than traditional fax servers or fax machines, regardless of physical location.

“Making MyFax available in the Intuit App Center further extends the range of solutions easily accessible to our customers,” said Alex Chriss, director of the Intuit Partner Platform. “With paper-saving services like MyFax, small businesses have the opportunity to save more money and work more efficiently, which are especially important in this economy.”

MyFax also offers a free service for users who need to send a fax only occasionally. MyFax Free allows users to transmit two faxes per day of up to 10 pages without setting up an account or providing a credit card number.

In addition to being rated the No. 1 Internet fax service by TopTenREVIEWS, MyFax was named a finalist in the Customer Service Management Team of the Year and the Customer Service Department of the Year categories in the third annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
