As the company transitions to be a multi-platform player, the feeling is to have management who are experts about software, the converged infrastructure market, and familiar with the players in the space. Ergo the new CEO, and ergo the new levels of backing from investors. The company is still hiring in its field and OEM spaces, and in conversations with multiple IHV partners.
Jupiter Systems, the industry leader in display wall technology, will
take center stage at InfoComm China 2009, China’s largest audio visual
and systems integration show. InfoComm China will be held from November
9 – 11 at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center (New Hall), Booth
#C1-01, Beijing, China.
Jupiter Systems, an ISO 9001:2008 registered company, has been an early
and expanding investor in the Chinese market. Over the past five years,
Jupiter’s revenues in China have increased significantly from sales of
systems to support the country’s rapidly growing infrastructure in
traffic management, utilities, telecom, security, defense, and corporate
applications. Today, China is the fastest growing economy in Asia, with
an estimated growth rate of 8% in 2009, according to the BBC.
“China is the fastest growing market for display wall systems used in
command and control visualization,” said Brady O. Bruce, Vice President
of Marketing and Strategic Alliances, “Government investment in critical
infrastructure, from traffic management to power distribution and across
all major industries, coupled with the energy and productivity of its
workforce, makes China an incredibly exciting and important marketplace.”
Jupiter’s booth, No. C1-01, is located at the center front entrance to
the National Agricultural Exhibition Center (New Hall). Its booth is
adjacent to Jupiter partner Winhi (Booth # D1-01), the exclusive
distributor for Samsung and its LCD display walls in China. Nearby is
Jupiter’s top Chinese integration partner, Dehao Electronics Technology
(DET) (Booth # B2-01).
Jupiter’s booth is comprised of three walls, each one demonstrating
Jupiter products that control different display technologies: Wall #1
using PixelNet will control a 6 x 4 array of plasma panel displays. Wall
#2 also using PixelNet, will drive a 3 x 3 array of LCD panel displays
Wall #3 will be run by Jupiter’s Fusion Display Wall Processor with a 3
x 2 array of rear projection cubes. In addition, a video pyramid will be
built from 10 LCD panel displays and driven by PixelNet. Jupiter display
wall processors will also run walls at the Winhi and DET booths.
Jupiter’s large 135 square meterbooth was designed by Hong
Kong-based Pico Far East Holding Ltd. Pico is a leading design,
construction, event organizing, and construction firm in the exhibition,
event marketing, museum, and conference markets. Pico is known for its
visually compelling, innovative, and highly functional designs and
interactive, multimedia installations. The firm is also the conference
organizer for InfoComm China 2009 and handled the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Jupiter was an early investor in the country with the headquarters of
its wholly owned subsidiary, Jupiter Systems China, in Shenzhen and a
sales and support facility in Beijing. The company is the leading
supplier of display wall controllers in China, winning major
installations in public security, water, power, roadway, rail and air
traffic management, mining, manufacturing, finance, and broadcast
systems. Its command and control visualization products are considered
best-of-breed and are designed for 24 x 7 operation.
