Carly Fiorina, HP's ousted CEO, has formally made herself a candidate to run for the U.S. Senate on the Republican ticket seeking to dethrone three-term Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer on the strength of her business background. Actually HP has done quite well with her acquisition of Compaq. Now she's got to make it through the primaries and emerge as the Republican Party's nominee.
