Foundation hosted its fifth Charity Golf Tournament and Dinner at
The Stanwich Club of Greenwich, to benefit The Fibrolamellar Cancer
Foundation. The event drew more than 140 golfers and 200 dinner attendees
to hear speakers Dr. Ronald DeMatteo and Dr. David Sidransky discuss
fibrolamellar cancer, a rare form of liver cancer that typically occurs in
young adults and children. Dr. DeMatteo serves as Vice Chair of the
Department of Surgery, Chief of the Division of General Surgical Oncology
and Director of the General Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program at
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and Dr. Sidransky
is the Director of Head and Neck Cancer Research in the Department of
Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins University.
The event raised over $500,000 to support education and research efforts
focused on fibrolamellar. Lead sponsors of the event included Stone Point

Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation
The Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation was established by Tucker Davis after
he was diagnosed with fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma in August
2008. The Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation was established to increase
awareness and raise research funds for fibrolamellar, a rare form of liver
cancer that is primarily diagnosed in teens and young adults. The
foundation's mission is to find a cure and reliable treatment options for
those diagnosed with this rare disease as well as enhance communication
