The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG),
the world’s largest user knowledgebase for Oracle® Applications users,
announces it has named David G. Ferguson as its 2010 president and has
elected the 2010 OAUG executive committee.
Ferguson was first elected to the OAUG board of directors in 2009 and is
currently serving his second elected term on the board.
Ferguson is an experienced business process manager with more than 25
years experience working with enterprise technologies and applications
within customer service and sales operations. He has held various
positions of leadership and was responsible for the global design and
implementation of the Oracle Enterprise Business Suite of products
involved in the market to order process for a large provider of
self-service delivery and security systems. He is also a certified sales
process engineer.
“It is an honor to serve as president the very same year our user group
celebrates its 20-yearanniversary,” said Ferguson. “As an
active member of the OAUG, I have seen first hand the value that our
organization delivers directly to its members through accessible
benefits like our educational boot camps and the numerous professional
networking events held throughout the year. It will be my highest
priority as president to continue to expand the reach and the value of
these member benefits throughout 2010.”
As the OAUG’s elected president, Ferguson chairs the 2010 OAUG executive
committee, a group chosen by the OAUG board of directors that is
responsible for the organization’s strategic planning process and
direction. Members of the executive committee are: Floyd Teter,
Technology and Standards Office for Institutional Business Systems at
the California Institute of Technology’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, vice
president; John Stouffer, individual OAUG associate member, secretary;
Betsy Rothwell; Ontario Ministry of Government Services; treasurer.
