By Roger Strukhoff
Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. CCT Group Limited (“CCTG”) announces the acquisition of Interactive Response Technologies, Inc. (“IRT”).

Following a business combination signed today, CCTG has completed the acquisition of IRT. The business combination creates a world-class contact center & BPO organization with strong characteristics as highlighted below:

  • complementary state-of-the-art onshore, offshore and nearshore capabilities delivered by facilities in United States, Philippines, and Panama;
  • enhanced executive team focused on quality, overseeing close to 6,000 professionals, operating across the globe; and
  • well-diversified, blue-chip base of Fortune 100 clients and partners.

Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, IRT is a leading provider of state-of-the-art contact center & BPO services. IRT has facilities in the states of Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma, and employs 2,700 contact center professionals. IRT’s customers are Fortune 100 companies in the financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, insurance, retail, transportation, utility, and education industries, all of whom leverage IRT’s technology and human resource leadership to deliver value-added solutions and services. IRT’s service offerings include customer service, sales, technical support, customer loyalty and retention, acquisition and business-to-business programs.

CCTG is a holding company focused on a portfolio of BPO and contact center investments around the globe, with its majority investor being funds advised by HSBC Private Equity (Asia) Limited (“HPEA”). A division of HSBC Group’s global private equity business, HPEA is one of the most experienced private equity groups in Asia having invested more than USD1 billion in approximately 100 companies over the past fifteen years.

Richard Eychner, IRT’s President, said: “We are excited to join CCTG’s group of companies given the complementary offshore and nearshore capabilities, corporate culture and work ethic. We look forward to leverage the broader global footprint to propel the combined companies’ growth.”

Paul Kang, Managing Director of HPEA and Director of CCTG, said: “We welcome the addition of IRT’s strong management team to CCTG. We are enthusiastic of the combined companies’ growth prospects given the expanded geographical footprint and the ability to provide an enhanced menu of services and technological capabilities to the clients and partners of CCTG and IRT.”

Jonathan Rosenberg, CCTG’s Chief Executive Officer, said: "This transaction provides the group with a substantial onshore USA presence, with excellent facilities and a talented and experienced management team; IRT perfectly complements our current offshore portfolio presence. We support IRT management’s vision and look forward to working with the team to continue expanding IRT’s domestic presence and industry leadership in the United States.”
