By Roger Strukhoff
Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. The Oracle Titan Awards recognize partner excellence in solution development and business achievements. Award recipients have successfully defined new markets, achieved leadership positions in target markets, and transformed traditional business practices building on Oracle's offerings. Winners in each category have clearly demonstrated a strong commitment to Oracle and a complete understanding of customer needs. Recognition was based on partner contributions during Oracle's fiscal year 2005. For the second consecutive year, Oracle has opened up the judging process to outside experts from the media and analyst communities who helped to assess the entries and select winners in each category. Additionally, Oracle judged submissions from PeopleSoft and JD Edwards partners for calendar year 2004.

"We have been genuinely overwhelmed by the number and quality of Oracle partners and solutions that were considered for this year's Titan Awards," said Oracle Group Vice President, North America Channels, Rauline Ochs. "As Oracle continues to broaden its business, our partners are stepping up their investment across the Oracle product line, delivering innovative solutions to meet the needs of our joint customers. This year's Titan Award winners are the best of a very solid group of partners."
