TROY, Mich., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Dayco Power Transmission, a global leader in harnessing power by delivering original equipment products for vehicle manufacturers, today announced the appointment of Michael Kamsickas to the role of president of North America Original Equipment. Dayco COO Mario Botto Micca made the announcement.

Kamsickas said OE interest in Dayco's "green" products is particularly strong as companies seek to squeeze more power from gas and diesel engines. Dayco's latest innovations--its timing belt in oil and DDOS damping system for light-duty applications, and its over-running alternator pulley for heavy-duty--are proving to have broad market appeal.

Kamsickas brings 25 years of global automotive experience to Dayco. He spent six years in leadership positions at Faurecia, most recently as vice president of North America strategic planning. Prior to that he was vice president and general manager at Valeo Engine Cooling, and vice president at Lear Corporation.
