Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud.
We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.
Zoo Entertainment (ZOOED), a leading developer and marketer of
interactive entertainment software, today announced its 2010 release
schedule, which includes a diverse portfolio of new interactive games.
The new titles target casual game players and cover a wide range of
family-friendly categories including game shows, racing, hunting &
fishing and simulation.
The 2010 schedule also includes Zoo Entertainment’s first digital
releases, including Auditorium the first new game developed
through indiePub Games, the company’s innovative on-line community for
independent game developers and casual game players.
“We believe our robust 2010 new releases offer broad-based, value-added
appeal to the casual game player,” said Mark Seremet, chief executive
officer, Zoo Entertainment, Inc. “Our strategy to offer a diversified
portfolio of titles and leverage our strong licensing partnerships is
working. It has enabled Zoo Entertainment to grow even in very
challenging economic conditions. We’re also pleased that this year’s
line-up includes an initial contribution from indiePub Games. Our strong
2010 release schedule combined with our digital initiatives position us
well for continued growth.”
Among the company’s 2010 titles are:
MINUTE TO WIN IT
As a licensing partner with NBC Universal, Zoo will release Minute to
Win It in November 2010, based on the popular NBC reality series
hosted by celebrity chef, Guy Fieri. The game will recreate the series’
family-friendly challenges on the Nintendo WiiTM and DSTM
platforms.
DEAL OR NO DEAL 2011 ANNIVERSARY EDITION
Also in partnership with NBC Universal and Endemol USA, Zoo will offer
an anniversary edition of Deal or No Deal in September 2010 on
the Nintendo WiiTM and DSTM platforms. The
original title, which was released in June 2007 on the DSTM
platform and in January 2009 on the WiiTM platform, has sold
over one million units. The anniversary edition offers similar broad
family appeal.
MATTHEWS BOW HUNTING
Zoo Publishing and Matthews, the premium international hunting bow
manufacturer, have collaborated to produce Matthews Bow Hunting,
a hunting simulation game due for release in October 2010. Designed for
the Nintendo WiiTM platform, the game will offer an all-new,
realistic sense of the hunting experience, enhanced by the innovative
design of the game’s value-added accessory, a hunting bow.
KEVIN VAN DAM FISHING
Zoo Publishing has partnered with Kevin Van Dam, a five-time “Angler of
the Year” award winner to produce KVD Fishing, a realistic bass
fishing sports game with a fishing rod accessory, scheduled for release
in September 2010 on the Nintendo WiiTM and PS3 TM
platforms. Kevin is a three-time winner of the coveted “BassMaster
Champion” title and the first ever recipient of the ESPN “Outdoorsman of
the Year Award.”
SHAWN JOHNSON GYMNASTIC CHALLENGE
In October, 2010, Zoo will release Shawn Johnson Gymnastic Challenge
on the Nintendo Wii TM, DS TM and DsiWare TM
platforms. Shawn won a gold and three silver medals in the 2008 Beijing
Olympic Games gymnastics competition. She has also won the prestigious
James E. Sullivan Award, an ESPY Award for Female Olympian and was the
season eight champion of the television reality show Dancing with the
Stars.
HELLO KITTY SEASONS
Hello Kitty Seasons is the latest addition to this popular
franchise, which includes Hello Kitty Big City Dreams and Hello
Kitty Birthday Adventures. This new title is the first of this
series to be offered on the Nintendo Wii TM platform,
scheduled for October, 2010.
AUDITORIUM
Auditorium is one of Zoo Entertainment’s first digital releases
and, importantly, one of the first titles developed through the
company’s indiePub Games online gaming site. Auditorium has won
several awards including The Mochis and Interactive Media Awards.
