The Spring Peak platform, which is available in 13.3" CULV and 15.6" SV models with both UMA and discrete graphics solutions, has several unique features such as a docking station that is compatible with both form factors making the notebook family an ideal solution for resellers focusing on the SMB segment.

“The docking station is proving to be a critical differentiator but it’s not the only valuable feature offered in the Spring Peak notebook,” stated Kent Tibbils, ASI VP of Marketing. The Spring Peak notebook line also includes unique tools such as the Intel Configuration Center that not only allows users the ability to control various features of the notebook but also makes it possible for resellers to add their corporate logo to the LCD screen giving them more branding visibility. “The ability to brand their own solution by wrapping a series of services around a particular hardware solution is essential to our customers as it allows them to build more value in the relationships they have with their clients,” added Tibbils.

In addition to the Configuration Center, Spring Peak notebooks also include an accelerometer that works in conjunction with Intel Always Aware and Intel Anti Theft Technology to lock the hard drive if the notebook is dropped or sound an alarm if it is moved after being activated. Combining these features with LED backlit displays, Microsoft WHQL validation in a family of notebooks that don’t change their look from one form factor to the next helps give VARs additional selling benefits.
