Semantic Valley was announced in Italy last December and seeks to establish a center for the global development and advancement of semantic technology.

Semantic Valley's objective is to enhance the way in which people access and interact with Web-based information, both in their professional and personal lives. By applying semantic technology, the Consortium's intended outcome is to develop content technology that simplifies the process of finding information quickly and accurately. Semantic Valley is sponsored by the local government in Trento, Italy and provides a network for businesses to unite the worlds of culture, research and innovation, and create a center for the development of content technology.
