China Telecom Americas Connects with CENX to Expand Carrier Ethernet Services

(NYSE: CHA), the world's largest fixed-line telecommunications and broadband services provider, today announced that it has established connections with CENX, operator of the world's first and most connected Carrier Ethernet exchange. Connecting with CENX enables China Telecom Americas and China Telecom to provide services both to and from its significant base of end-users, thus opening up new revenue opportunities for China Telecom Americas and its U.S. partners. The initial connections are in CENX's New York and Los Angeles exchanges.
