The HQ 2.5 platform adapts to changes in IT operations by delivering a self-managing process for auto-discovering every change to the environment, automatically enabling monitoring of every key health and performance metric, and applying pre-defined alerting policies. With HQ 2.5, no additional administration is required.
“Hyperic is setting out to alter the way in which IT management solutions perform,” said Hyperic Chief Executive Officer Javier Soltero. “Until now, IT management tools have been notoriously painful to deploy and manage on an ongoing basis and largely unavailable to users of open source technology. The HQ 2.5 platform adapts to changes in the IT environment automatically without requiring excessive customization, configuration or tweaking. It’s designed for all environments and truly delivers rapid implementation and zero administration management capabilities to our customers.”
The features of HQ 2.5 are designed to eliminate the effort and cost of incorporating new IT resources in a managed environment. New components include advanced event management technology for powering log analysis, change control, intrusion detection, and problem identification features across all supported open source and commercial technologies.
