Hyperic, which focuses on application management frameworks for IT operations, has announced the release of Hyperic HQ 2.5, an IT management solution for open source and commercial infrastructure. HQ 2.5 makes it easier for IT professionals to manage large environments on an ongoing basis across all systems, network, and application infrastructure – ultimately increasing the efficiency, reliability and predictability of IT operations.

The HQ 2.5 platform adapts to changes in IT operations by delivering a self-managing process for auto-discovering every change to the environment, automatically enabling monitoring of every key health and performance metric, and applying pre-defined alerting policies. With HQ 2.5, no additional administration is required.
