Version 3.0 of Web-Based Voice Broadcasting Application Released

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/01/06 -- Dial M for Mercury, Inc. today released Version 3.0 of its web-based voice broadcasting application, providing enhanced communication tools to small businesses and organizations for automating phone calls and e-mails to their customers, employees, and organization members.

Dial M for Mercury provides organizations with an innovative web-based application for managing contacts, groups, voice recordings, and e-mails, with an intuitive interface for initiating and tracking outbound phone calls and e-mails. Using this system, organizations can streamline and automate myriad communication tasks, such as informing large groups about schedule changes and delays, reminding customers and patients of meetings and appointments, notifying customers about product shipments and order confirmations, and alerting communities of disaster and emergency situations.

Included in Version 3.0 are enhanced tracking capabilities and Touch-Tone Responses(TM), which allow organizations to conduct phone-based surveys or elicit feedback from message recipients via any standard touch-tone phone keypad.

This latest release also includes a web services interface based on the SOAP standard, enabling enterprises to easily integrate telephony and email communication features into their business applications. For example, e-commerce sites could use the web services interface to initiate phone calls to customers to inform them that an order has shipped, with minimal development effort or knowledge about Voice-Over IP (VOIP).

"Our goal is to empower businesses and organizations with the ability to reach out to groups of people efficiently and cost effectively," said Paul Fisher, CEO of Dial M for Mercury. "We firmly believe in this web-based business model, as it allows smaller organizations, such as churches, synagogues, schools, and camps to take advantage of this technology without upfront cost. There is no equipment needed to use this system, which really removes any barriers to entry."

While most VOIP offerings carry stringent bandwidth requirements, and necessitate the installation of specialized equipment, Dial M for Mercury only requires an Internet connection and a web browser. Messages can be recorded and added to an organization's account using any touch-tone phone, or by uploading a sound file. Contacts and groups may be imported from any spreadsheet.

Applications that marry the telephone network with the Internet are growing at staggering rates, as enterprises discover the synergy and efficiency that can be realized through the convergence of voice and data solutions.

Dial M for Mercury creates voice messaging applications that bring the power and flexibility of the Internet to the telephone.
