RF Code Names Joe Dugan Chief Executive Officer
Industry Veteran Brings 20 Years of Business Process, RFID and Supply Chain Vision

By: PR Newswire
Feb. 28, 2006 02:30 PM

MESA, Ariz., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- RF Code, Inc., a leading developer of RFID asset tracking solutions, today announced that Joseph (Joe) Dugan has joined the company as president and chief executive officer. Dugan will lead the company's growth in logistics tracking applications in the supply chain, defense and healthcare markets, as well as develop the company's expansion in Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) solutions.

Dugan brings more than 20 years of RFID, supply chain and emerging technology vision to RF Code, previously serving as president and director of NexgenIX, Inc., a supply chain and RFID solutions company; chairman, CEO and president of Vizional Technologies, Inc., a global supply chain and RFID software company; and managing director of Answerthink Consulting Group, leading this organization's supply chain and e-commerce products and services group. Dugan was also vice president of Worldwide Advanced Applications for Oracle Corporation, and a senior vice president at Northrop Grumman Corporation.

"We are delighted that Joe is joining RF Code to lead the next phase in the company's growth. With his thought leadership and deep industry experience, RF Code will build upon its eight-year track record of technical innovations and deployments that deliver on the promise of RFID," said Moshe Azoulay, chairman, RF Code Board of Directors.

"This is a remarkable time to be joining RF Code," said Dugan. "The RFID and Real-Time Location Systems markets are at a threshold companies that know how to deliver ROI-based solutions have a clear advantage over solution providers just rushing to meet short-term mandates. RF Code's core technology and in-the-field applications make it a clear leader in this market."

Dugan's achievements include the development of NexvisionIX's intelligent wireless devices and RFID hardware and software solutions for federal government, U.S. military and homeland security applications. At Vizional Technologies, Inc., he played a key role in defining the RFID marketplace for the company's software products and services, producing one of the first RFID- based web-services infrastructures for global supply chain security and real- time supply chain management. Dugan served as executive director of the Global Benchmarking Center for Security and Trade managing the National Defense Transportation Association's "Best Practices Committee." He also led a successful Operation Safe Commerce implementation funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Dugan holds three joint RFID patents and has worked in close alignment with the AutoID Center, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and EPCglobal Inc. to drive RFID innovations with these key industry groups.
