Arkeia Delivers Innovative Windows Disaster Recovery Solution

Storage software leader further expands award-winning solutions for heterogeneous environments

Arkeia Software announced its Disaster Recovery for Windows solution. Customers can now add an extra level of data protection to their heterogeneous infrastructure by deploying the new easy-to-use disaster recovery solution in conjunction with Arkeia's award winning tape and disk backup.

The new solution allows for data recovery after a system failure, in a Windows environment, for companies using the flagship Arkeia Network Backup software as well as Arkeia Smart Backup. A simple procedure makes it possible to carry out an automated backup and recovery, onto a CD, USB or network drive.

With this solution, customers can now restore one machine or a complete network of Windows machines. Even in the event of destruction or theft, the solution is able to re-create all of the lost data onto a new machine. Additionally, the solution allows three different ways to backup or recover lost data in order to adapt to any type of network, from the most simple to the most complex.

"Customers and Partners who know Arkeia for our reliable and easy-to-use data protection products have asked for an easy-to-use recovery solution for their Windows environments," said Alain Pechon, CEO of Arkeia. "The Windows Disaster Recovery module guarantees reliability, and the ability to return to "business-as-usual" quickly and painlessly."

"We have looked for a powerful, easy-to-use disaster recovery solution for Windows, and Arkeia stepped up and has exceeded our expectations," said Karl Tschauner, president of storage reseller OSI Datacenter Technologies. "With this product, Arkeia continues to demonstrate its commitment to its Partners."

This product announcement is the first following a major new company strategy of investing and growing with channel partners. Just last week, the company announced its new strategy and partner plan called the JumpStart Partner Program.
