SOA is an Enterprise concept, but in order to achieve a SOA you either have to Service Enable existing applications and / or you have to build new applications that can take part in a SOA. This latter approach requires service oriented development. This talk demonstrates an approach for project composition utilizing implementation and interface projects using Java and Spring Framework. Through the use of a dependency injection technology, this new technique allows for the creation of projects that are easier to understand, maintain and extend. As a direct result you end up with projects that are ready to participate in a Service Oriented Architecture or that simply allow for a much higher level of reuse if your organization has not yet moved towards an enterprise SOA.
