SAN ANTONIO TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/18/06 -- Smart Card Marketing Systems Inc. CEO Massimo Barone (OTC: SMKG), a leading provider of prepaid cards, value smart storage cards and payment processing services, announced today that they have reached an agreement with Mopal Inc. to deliver a new integrated solution in the payment processing and response notification segment.

Mopal Inc. is an integrated marketing company, which specializes in the text messaging and short code marketing segment via mobile phones, Internet and email.

This joint opportunity will allow for both Smart Card's existing and new merchants to deliver notification services and prompts to their customers in a timely and sequential manner, on a global scale real-time. This new prompting system will allow merchants and their customers to effectively engage in real-time delivery of card loads, customer authenticity and eliminate customer wait times for pending requests of transaction confirmation on customers mobile phones -- drastically improving customer service for all merchants.

Mopal Inc. President Antonio Mercogliano is extremely pleased with the fusion of Smart Card's services and Mopal Inc.'s solutions offering "mobile txt pay." He stated, "This is a new avenue to deliver prompt response messaging for a business marketplace that is becoming more diligent in payment transaction management with high levels of fraud." Both companies will bring this fusion of transaction management to merchants in the financial sector dealing with high levels of fraud and credit card processing such as the gaming industry, prepaid charge cards and money remittance with over $30 billion US dollars processed in transactions in 2005 in the USA alone.

Details of the transaction include Smart Card paying Mopal Inc. for participation of its proprietary platform, a sum of $30,000.00 US dollars to derive at an integrated solution. Mopal Inc. President Mr. Mercogliano has agreed that in consideration of the payment and its commitment to working with Smart Card Marketing Systems, the issuance of newly issued stock at a price of $00.25 cents US dollars for a total of 120,000 newly issued shares of SMKG in exchange of payment.
