that the Company is in negotiations with a major distributor based in
Nashville, Tennessee, that supplies fresh and frozen produce to the Food
Service, Governmental Agencies, Retail and Cruise Ship Lines in the
southeast.
Mr. Jerre Maxwell, Executive Vice President and COO for Produce Safety,
will handle the negotiations and logistics from Produce Safety's
procurement and sales office located in Fresno, California. Mr. Maxwell
will propose to the distributor a complete Food Safety Process by employing
its EPA Registered Spherequat products and Ozone Process that will assure
extended shelf life and protect the distributor's fresh and frozen produce
against food-borne illness pathogens. In addition, Mr. Maxwell will
propose to the distributor Produce Safety's Standard Operating Procedure
(SOP) program aimed at providing a loss reduction and comprehensive
inspection program, with an audit trail.
The proposal will include Produce Safety's ozone spray wash process and a
third-party chemical analysis test and review before being delivered to
sanitized containers in an ozone sanitized storage area. Each lot is
chemically tested for E. coli H157, Salmonella and Listeria before being
delivered to the client in a certified ozone sanitized truck. Produce
Safety is able to monitor the produce all through the food chain providing
an audit trail for possible food illness outbreaks in the chain. The
process provides a maximum food safe product to the end user that meets the
regulations of the FDA, USDA, HACCP and APHIS.
Clarence W. Karney, Chief Executive Officer of Produce Safety & Security
