SUNDAY, APRIL 1: AZALEA FESTIVAL
Profile America — Sunday, April 1st. Now that spring is here, people are taking trips to enjoy the natural beauty of some of the nation's premier parks and gardens. A half million of them will come to Muskogee, Oklahoma for the annual Azalea Festival at Honor Heights Park this month. Across the U.S., more than two-thirds of households take part in lawn and garden activities. Just under a third grow flowers, and a quarter plan their own landscaping. One-in- four have vegetable gardens, and 12 percent have a decorative water garden. You can find these and more facts about America from the U.S. Census Bureau, online at www.census.gov.
