Nexon to Publish A Bit Lucky’s Lucky Space in Korea

NEXON Co., Ltd. (“Nexon”) (3659.TO), a worldwide leader in free-to-play online games, today announced that NEXON Korea Corporation (“Nexon Korea”) (CEO: Min Seo) has partnered with U.S.-based game developer, A Bit Lucky (CEO: Frederic Descamps), to publish Lucky Space in Korea. Through this partnership, Lucky Space, a unique Sci-Fi styled social network game originally serviced through Facebook, will now be available on Nexon Korea’s online game portal.

Boasting high-end graphics, deep gameplay mechanics, and an engaging, community-based storyline, Lucky Space is a resource management and exploration title where players are transported to an alien planet to build a space colony. Players are encouraged to develop their colonies into thriving habitats by exploring new terrain, mining for resources and upgrading buildings with vital components. Launched in the fourth quarter of 2011, Lucky Space has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from the gaming community.

“We are very excited to partner with A Bit Lucky to bring this popular title to Korean audiences,” said Junam Kim, director of the portal division at Nexon Korea. “This partnership leverages the strength of the Nexon platform, enables us to further diversify our game portfolio, and furthers our proven strategy of partnering with globally successful IP developers. We look forward to working with A Bit Lucky to provide players with an even richer gaming experience.”

“This is an incredible opportunity for Lucky Space to reach a new audience,” said Frederic Descamps, CEO of A Bit Lucky. “It is a vibrant, engaging, and high-end game that we believe will be incredibly successful in Korea. We are thrilled to partner with a veteran of the online games business like Nexon.”
