Dallas-based ii2P, a leading provider of help desk productivity optimization and secure password management solutions, products and services, today announced the widespread availability of the company’s new mobile point-of-sale (POS) payment platform. ii2P’s comprehensive on site payment solution is specifically designed to enable the processing of WIC EBT cash voucher benefits, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits, as well as commercial debit and credit cards for Farmers’ Market Associations (FMAs) across the state of Texas and the United States.
The State of Texas Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program recently certified ii2P’s mobile point-of-sale solution after successfully completing a WIC EBT Pilot program with Farmers’ Market Associations in Austin, San Antonio and Fort Worth, Texas. The State of Texas pilot program successfully tested the viability of WIC client access to fresh produce while also providing an economic stimulus to farmers. With ii2P’s POS solution, vendors can now accept on site EBT and SNAP payments from WIC clients for selected fresh fruits and vegetables with their State of Texas WIC smart card. In addition, ii2P’s POS payment processing terminal also allows farmers to accept credit cards and commercial debit cards.
“With ii2P’s mobile POS solution farmers are no longer limited to cash transactions,” states Greg Johnson, President of the Fort Worth Farmers’ Market Association. “Farmers can now process all payment types with ii2P’s convenient and easy-to-use mobile POS terminal.”
Developed in partnership with POS terminal manufacturer, Dejavoo Systems, the ii2P POS solution for state government administered programs is designed specifically for farmers’ markets and temporary, outdoor venues that may lack readily available electricity, and have limited telephone access. The water and drop resistant mobile terminal features a long-lasting, rechargeable Li-ion battery and a secure PIN Entry Device (PED) – certified PIN Pad, and supports both smart card and magnetic stripe card technology. ii2P’s secure mobile payment platform for Farmers’ Market Associations also supports General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), Wi-Fi, or direct dial, providing multiple telecommunications options depending on the outdoor FMA environment. And to accelerate ease of use and adoption by FMA vendors, ii2P provides a comprehensive range of customer support with downloadable quick-reference guides, self-help articles, videos and a staffed ii2P Help Desk.
