Invata Intralogistics Awarded Fulfillment Center Optimization Contract by Leading Online Retailer Vitacost.com

Invata Intralogistics, Inc., a global provider of supply chain and facilities optimization, software and controls, today announced it has been awarded a contract to provide performance enhancements and optimization services at two existing fulfillment centers operated by Vitacost.com, Inc., a leading online retailer and direct marketer of health and wellness products. Invata will also be implementing its FastTrak® WM+ software, designed to meet the real time business needs of a high-speed fulfillment center that requires a large array of sophisticated automation. Plans call for the enhancement of Vitacost.com’s Las Vegas, NV, facility along with the implementation of WM+ in its East Coast Lexington, NC, facility.

The enhanced facilities will utilize Invata’s FastTrak WM+ software to efficiently manage inventory, order selection and automation – including carousels, pick-to-light, A-Frame automation, print/apply, manifesting, and RF technologies. High-performance batch processing and automated order consolidation will also be implemented at both facilities.

“We are investing in fulfillment infrastructure to support our future growth,” stated Bert Wegner, COO of Vitacost.com. “Our operations team is focused on improving our overall efficiency while delivering a superior customer service experience, and we believe the systems provided by Invata will help us achieve our goals.”

In announcing the Vitacost.com contract, Invata CEO Ryan Sheehan stated, “The overall program to be implemented includes our latest suite of real-time, high-performance tools and processes. For Vitacost.com, we’re delivering a powerful combination of design, software and integration services that will increase the efficiency and performance of the Vitacost.com distribution network while leveraging existing and legacy investments.”
