BOSTON, Sept. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Auto calls are an effective tool to turn close races into victories and to produce votes for candidates who use them strategically. Nearly two-thirds of registered voters (64%) recall receiving recorded telephone messages in the final stages of an election (Pew Research Center).
Adam Miller, Vice President at www.2centautocalls.com, lists clients from all political parties in the United States, running for political offices from U.S. Senators and U.S. Congressmen, to statewide candidates and down ballot races including state Senators and state Representatives. His firm even handles auto calls for City Councilors and Alderman.
According to Miller, "Some voters say they resist auto calls, but results of close races show the effectiveness of this tool for getting out votes. Auto calls are the secret weapon that turns apathetic stay-at-homes into motivated voters. Auto calls helped me to elect a U.S. Senator in 2010 by calling over 2 million voters on election day."
Also known as Robocalls, voters receive a pre-recorded message usually from the candidate can identify voters, raise money, increase attendance at events and what is most important, get people out to vote.
Another benefit of auto calls is the immediacy factor. Near the end of a campaign if a candidate uses direct mail to attack, the opponent can counter with an auto call to get out the last important word. Candidates can also send out that last word as voters leave for the polls.
According to Miller, "Auto calls allow candidates to respond to their opponents Direct Mail, Television, Radio or Newspaper ads instantly; the immediacy of communication surpasses even email or Facebook penetration."
Miller points out that candidates can send their messages out in different languages, and will know exactly when they reach their voters unlike direct mail which is growing in unreliability.
Robo or auto calls are exempt from the Do Not Call registry and are legal in every state except for Indiana and North Dakota.
