Mouser Electronics is preparing for the final race of 2012 IndyCar® Season where champion driver Tony Kanaan will take the wheel of the No. 11 Mouser Electronics/GEICO/KV Racing Technology Chevrolet/Firestone IndyCar in the MAVTV 500 IndyCar World Championship Race at Fontana’s Auto Club Speedway on Saturday, September 15.
Kanaan, who will be finishing out his 11th year of IndyCar Racing at the two-mile oval track, is currently tied for first place (against Ryan Hunter-Reay) in the oval track standings to win the A.J. Foyt IndyCar® Oval Track Championship Trophy. The historic and highly anticipated IndyCar race returns to the Fontana Speedway for the first time since 2005, and premieres its very first “under-the-lights” event.
“It’s been so exciting to watch Tony drive the Mouser #11 car this year. Every race, he pushes harder and never gives up,” says Larry Johannes, Mouser Electronics’ Vice President of Strategic Marketing. “All of us at Mouser, TTI and all of our supplier partners are pulling for him at Fontana. He’s due for a win, and with his aggressive driving style, there’s a very good chance he’ll get it.”
