Noser Engineering AG (www.noser.com) the Swiss based global information technology consultancy announced today the successful completion of a four month co-development project with Biral AG to engineer an industrial grade mobile Android^® application for pump management via smartphones within a secure wireless network.

Biral AG based in Muesingen is a leading Swiss producer of robust circulation, waste-water, sewage and high-pressure pump systems, used in building technology and industry, wherever the highest reliability is required.

Modern high-efficiency pumps manage system parameters and provide relevant information such as flow rate, suction head and medium temperature.

With the new, industrial-grade mobile application running on their own personal smartphone, system engineers can monitor, retrieve and adjust the pump’s system parameters during commissioning and when performing warranty service. The application saves time during commissioning and in many cases, the need for measuring instruments for diagnosis.

In order to support a variety of Android versions available in the market, the team decided to use the Android API Levels 8 through 15. Biral has a flexible solution without very little investment can be used for different applications as the market requires. Work has already begun on an industrial grade iOS^® version of the application.

On September 13 Noser engineering and Biral will present this project at the annual Noser Engineering Technology Impulse Bern 2012.
