Tango Networks, a leading technology provider that enables enterprises to embrace the power of Mobile Unified Communications, today announced the availability of its Small Cell Connect solution that intelligently extends secure enterprise Unified Communications applications and services to any mobile device connected to a small cell network.
The company’s Small Cell Connect solution builds upon Tango’s expertise deploying Unified Communications over mobile access networks throughout the world to ensure enterprises and mobile carriers can monetize their growing small cell deployments through compelling services and applications that provide a rich user experience, while simultaneously reducing backhaul and interconnection costs.
Tango’s Small Cell Connect solution is powered by the company’s Small Cell Services Exchange software, which expands upon the robust functionality of Tango’s core technology to establish secure connectivity and guaranteed interworking between small cells, enterprise Unified Communications (UC) and PBX systems, and mobile network elements. Once deployed, enterprise users will be able to utilize the rich UC and PBX features from their office phones – such as integrated voice mail, short-digit dialing, mobile call recording, and mobile presence – on any mobile device and over virtually any network.
“By ensuring seamless functionality over small cells, mobile, Wi-Fi, and fixed networks, Tango provides mobile users with a high-quality Mobile Unified Communications experience regardless of their point-of-attachment,” states Andrew Silver, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Tango Networks. “The Small Cell Connect solution addresses the distinct needs of carriers today, by reducing backhaul resource demands and maintaining bearer stream and signaling local to the enterprise while enabling unique small cell location-based services and new tariffing models.”
Furthering the company’s commitment to small cell advancement, Tango Networks is also announcing that it has joined the Small Cell Forum, the independent industry and operator association that supports small cell deployment worldwide.
“We are proud to join the Small Cell Forum and look forward to participating in the association’s efforts to make the small cell an integral part of radio access networks,” said Brenda Boehm, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tango Networks. “At Tango, we are dedicated to enhancing the availability of Mobile Unified Communications between mobile and enterprise networks. Small cells are of critical importance for enabling enterprise calling, messaging, and applications to users wherever they are.”
“We are happy to welcome Tango Networks to the Small Cell Forum,” said Simon Saunders, Chairman of the Small Cell Forum. “There is an enormous amount of excitement surrounding enterprise small cells. To date cellular technologies have only scratched the surface of what is possible in a business environment. Enterprise small cell deployments represent a platform for transforming much more than just coverage and capacity – they can also introduce compelling new features and services.”
