LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/14/12 -- As is Stanley Cup tradition, Mr. Leiweke, along with every player and member of the team's staff, has the Cup in their possession for 24 hours. Brentwood School was very fortunate to be one of the audiences with whom he chose to share this treasured trophy.
Brentwood School and the LA Kings have something in common -- achieving excellence has been their driving focus for decades. After 45 years of waiting for their first NHL title, the Los Angeles Kings became the 2012 Stanley Cup Champions on June 11, 2012. For 40 years, Brentwood School has provided an educational experience that embraces high standards of character, commitment, and achievement. In 2011 Brentwood was recognized as a National School of Character, one of only two independent schools in the country to be awarded this honor.
The program consisted of a brief opening and Q&A by Mr. Leiweke, followed by the opportunity to have an official photograph taken with the Stanley Cup. Mr. Leiweke, who was the featured speaker at Brentwood School's Commencement Ceremony last June, is the father of a Brentwood graduate.
