HAMBURG, Germany, September 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Anyone who ever experienced the unique atmosphere of the Reeperbahn Festival keeps coming back. From 19 to 22 September, the eyes of the music world are on Hamburg. For the seventh year, music, arts and a conference will create a dedicated community in St Pauli, Hamburg's former red-light-district. The festival is unparalleled in Europe and offers much more than excellent concerts: its three components, Music, Campus, and Arts, comprise 350 programme features from various genres, attracting more than 20,000 industry-experts and festival-lovers from around the world. 50 atmospheric venues of different sizes invite visitors to discover, marvel, party, connect and be connected.
Taking place in the music club mecca of Hamburg, the festival will of course focus on live performances. Concert halls, clubs, bars, theatres, a table-dancing bar, and even the St Pauli church will be presenting fantastic bands such as Cro (D), The Temper Trap (AUS), Best Coast (USA), Royal Republic (S), 2:54 (UK) and The Asteroid Galaxy Tour (DK). This urban, club-based festival also aims to promote selected international newcomers.
Also in 2012, guests will experience the cultural buzz of music-related exhibitions, literature, street art and films. Besides exhibitions of all sizes, the Reeperbahn Festival Arts also features literary events, with live performances by poetry slammers, writers and musicians.
But the Reeperbahn Festival wouldn't be complete without its conference and business platform Reeperbahn Festival Campus, the meeting point for Europe's music and creative industries. This is the place where businesses connect, newcomers are presented and networks are created. No wonder Hamburg is regarded as the gateway to the world, and St Pauli as Germany's most creative neighborhood.
