KARALIT, the maker of innovative no-mesh computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, announces a new investment of €350,000 by Vertis SGR. Vertis has the option of investing additional capital in upcoming months.
The new capital will be used to support ongoing software development, sales operations and new strategies. KARALIT CFD 3D software is based on a revolutionary concept called Direct CFD, which enables users to go from CAD model to CFD simulation in minutes without time-consuming meshing or tedious set-up.
“The KARALIT team has impressive expertise and its one-of-a-kind product has enormous potential in the rapidly growing market for CFD solutions,” says Amedeo Giurazza, CEO of Vertis.
“We are very pleased in the confidence that Vertis has shown in KARALIT,” says Marco Mulas, KARALIT CEO and founder. “It further confirms the innovation of our technology and the ability of our team to bring it to the market in a compelling way. This investment will allow us to speed up an already agile development process.”
KARALIT (www.karalit.com) was founded in 2007 to transform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) from a separate, specialized process into an integral part of the design cycle for companies in aerospace, automotive, valves, build environment and other industries. The company has headquarters in Italy and offices in the United States and United Kingdom.
Vertis (www.vertissgr.it) is an investment management company that oversees three private equity funds investing in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) located in the south of Italy. Assets of the funds total 80 million euros. Vertis supports companies in all stages of their lives, from start-up through growth and maturity.
