WASHINGTON, Sept. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The NFL has a crisis on its hands.
The uproar over the continued use of the replacement referees as now reached beyond a fevered pitch. Before last weekend, the replacement referees were only in over their heads. As of the end of the Monday night game, they are an outright disaster.
The botched call seen around the world cost the Green Bay Packers a game against the Seattle Seahawks Monday night. If this does not serve as a watershed moment for the league and commissioner Roger Goodell, then God help the NFL.
The question now is this: will Goodell and league owners do what's best for the game and strike a labor deal with its regular officials?
