Groupon (http://www.groupon.com) (NASDAQ: GRPN) announced today that Rob Kilgarriff will assume the role of Vice President, North American Sales & Account Management. Kilgarriff will be based in the company’s Chicago headquarters and report to Kal Raman, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Operations.
With more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience, Kilgariff will lead the daily operations of Groupon’s sales organization. Kilgarriff comes to Groupon from GlobalScholar, where he served under Raman for three years as Senior Vice President, Sales. Prior to GlobalScholar, he held various senior leadership roles in sales, marketing, product management, support and finance at companies including Reader’s Digest, Plato Learning, Jostens Corporation and Project Achieve. Kilgarriff also spent more than a dozen years working within sales and technology capacities for GE Plastics and GE Capital, spanning strategy, advertising, customer segmentation and alternative channel management.
