AIM Autosport Team FXDD Racing With Ferrari, along with Scuderia Corsa, have officially clinched the GT Manufacturer's Title for Ferrari. The two teams accumulated enough points for Ferrari 's win with AIM Autosport placing in 8thposition and Scuderia Corsa finishing in 3rd at today's race at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut.

AIM Autosport has had a great season. Three weeks ago, the team took home both the Grand AM Rolex GT Sports Car Series Team and Driver Championship Titles after finishing 2nd at Laguna Seca Raceway in Salinas, California.

The team experienced difficulty in the first 40 minutes of today's race after the car was hit from behind by the no. 31 Corvette. AIM Autosport driver, Emil Assentato kept control over the car as it spun out. The incident held the car back 2 laps, pulling it from its position in 9th, to 11th spot.

Co-driver, Jeff Segal took over the wheel after the first 30 minutes of the race taking 3rd position but was pushed back to 10th by lap 67. Segal finished the race in 8th place, securing the team's effort in obtaining the Manufacturer's Title.

AIM Autosport sporting director and co-owner, Andrew Bordin says he is pleased by the team's performance this race.

"This was an unbelievable race," said Bordin. "Emil and Jeff drove so well considering our circumstances with the number 31 Corvette and getting hit from behind. We were two laps down and still managed to get back to 8th place overall in the end. This race was so important for us as we clinched the Manufacturer's Title. More importantly, we were visited by the president of Ferrari, North America. We couldn't have asked for a better result."

Co-owner, Ian Willis is also pleased with the race results.

"It was unfortunate that we had contact early in the race that put us two laps down because at the end of the race we were running the same pace as the leaders," said Willis. "The most important thing is that Ferrari clinched the Manufacturer's Title that gave us the hat trick we were hoping for."

AIM Autosport needed a 7th place finish to claim the Manufacturer's Title for Ferrari. Segal said he is thankful for the help from Scuderia Corsa in making the win a reality.

"We knew we had to finish seventh to protect the manufacturer's (title) and Chevy went on to won the race, so thank god we had support from Scuderia Corsa," said Segal. "Great team work from the Ferraris today! They had a great result. I'm very happy for them. I'm also very happy for us too!"

The team is already working on plans for the 2013 season, with some testing in the coming months.
