Former Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell has joined the Advisory Board of Verdeva, Inc., a technology start-up focusing on market-based solutions addressing critical issues including transportation financing, efficient vehicle incentives, and municipal fiscal challenges.

Verdeva CEO Kevin Condon said, “Governor Rendell is well known for his leading role advocating investing in our nation’s infrastructure, and advocating smart environmental policies. As mayor of Philadelphia he restored fiscal health to the city. As governor, he was known for exploring innovative solutions to transportation financing.. After 34 years of public service, including 24 years as an elected official, Governor Rendell continues to pursue issues he was passionate about while serving -- making America a cleaner, more efficient place and fostering investment in America’s crumbling infrastructure. Rendell is a champion in the area of alternative energy, and serves as a consultant or board member for several green firms. He remains involved in the campaign for government efficiency and strategic cost cutting, working with entities such as Government Sourcing Solutions, Public Financial Management and Greenhill Advisors.

Perhaps no other issue has been and continues to be as important to Governor Rendell as America's need to reinvest in its infrastructure. As Governor, Rendell worked with Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to create an organization called "Building America's Future”, to focus on the need for a more significant investment in American infrastructure to ensure that America remains a global economic power. Governor Rendell currently serves as Co-Chair of the organization and travels throughout the country speaking about this issue.
