Singapore, Oct 3, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - With Asia's growing affluence and modernisation, energy demand in the region is also rapidly developing. About 60% of the region's electricity is fuelled by coal, compared to the worldwide average of 40%, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA). The agency forecasts that Asia, containing three of world's most highly populated nations China, India and Indonesia, will account for 90% of coal demand over the next 20 years. As a result, boilers are operating at higher temperatures and there is a growing need for insulation that works effectively and gives better thermal and acoustic performance at reduced cost.
