The Public Prosecution Service of Canada today confirmed that Jeffrey Paul Delisle has pleaded guilty in Nova Scotia Provincial Court to one count each of communicating safeguarded information and attempting to communicate safeguarded information, both offences under section 16(1) of the Security of Information Act and one count of Breach of Trust, contrary to section 122 of the Criminal Code.
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for January 10 and 11, 2013.
Jeffrey Paul Delisle has been in custody since his arrest in January 2012.
The Public Prosecution Service of Canada is responsible for prosecuting offences under federal jurisdiction in a manner that is free of any improper influence and that respects the public interest. The PPSC is also responsible for providing prosecution-related advice to law enforcement agencies across Canada.
