NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- StyleCaster, the leading social media company for fashion, beauty and lifestyle, has launched The Masthead (www.WeAreTheMasthead.com), a platform dedicated to empowering and uniting independent publishers in the fashion and beauty space.
The Masthead - a concept StyleCaster once teased and is now launching in full - will be a digital platform where independent publishers can obtain tools and exclusive content to help them reach their traffic and revenue goals. StyleCaster will create content about everything from search engine optimization techniques to tips on how to cultivate brand partnerships, and more.
The Masthead members will have exclusive access to this content in order to further their publishing ventures into more expansive businesses. Members will also have early access to StyleCaster's proprietary tools and technology to help increase their traffic-driving potential.
As a member of The Masthead, independent publishers will also have the opportunity to attend a series of in-person events. There, industry experts from StyleCaster and from all across the media landscape will host sessions on everything from self-marketing to website management, and beyond. For instance, a Search Engine Optimization specialist will offer a session on how publishers can augment search traffic while they leverage everything from keywords to distribution channels. At other sessions, StyleCaster's CEO will discuss his experience working with LeBron James and other celebrities to help independent publishers build their own brands.

Membership is by invitation and on a referral basis from inaugural members. The Masthead is currently free for independent publishers to apply and join. StyleCaster will select ten founding members, who we will be announced in Q4 2012.
StyleCaster formally introduced The Masthead today at the State of Style Summit at 92YTribeca. The Masthead will be in soft launch through Q4 2012, and will launch in full in 2013.
