US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said in a speech in New York City that America is facing a cyber Pearl Harbor that could result in the death of civilians and paralyze the country, scaring everybody out of their wits.
He’s thinking about hacks on critical infrastructure, energy grids, smartphones as well as derailed railroads and contaminated water supplies.
Researchers suggest that the doors to maximum security prisons could be opened. 
Panetta wants a new kind of communication between private businesses and the government sector so that law enforcement can find out about and assess new viruses quickly.
Panetta pointed to Russia, China and Iran. The House Intelligence Committee last week warned about trusting Chinese telecommunications houses Huawei and ZTE
