Have you ever been out to dinner with someone, and before they do anything else, they just HAVE to take a picture of their food and upload it to Instagram? We all know those people. Whether you love the idea or whether it drives you crazy, one restaurant in New York City is embracing the craze. When Latin-American restaurant Comodo in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood noticed a whole bunch of their patrons uploading pictures of their food to Instagram, management decided to get on board by adding the hashtag #CodomoMenu to the bottom of its real-life menu. They encourage guests to add, share and check out the uploaded photos when deciding what to order. So far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, and the owners have been praised for their creativity. Let’s just hope for their sake that their chef never has an off night. Otherwise, things could get ugly… well, ugly, but with a cool filter on top of it. Very modern art.
