Fixmo Adds Support for Apple iOS 6 and iPhone 5 to its Defense-Grade Secure Container and Mobile Security Offerings

Fixmo, the mobile risk management (MRM) company, today announced support for the new Apple iOS 6 operating system and the iPhone 5 across its portfolio of enterprise mobility solutions. With the Fixmo SafeZone secure workspace, Fixmo Sentinel MDM (mobile device management) and Fixmo Sentinel Integrity Services, IT organizations can embrace Apple’s latest operating system and devices while ensuring they can keep all corporate email, browsing, documents and apps encrypted, contained and under IT control.

Whether company-issued or employee-owned, new devices introduce new security risks when connecting to a corporate network. Fixmo enables a secure and compliant approach to embracing iOS devices in the enterprise with the ability to centrally manage policy controls and mobile applications, as well as protect corporate email, browsing, documents, Microsoft SharePoint and custom apps within a FIPS 140-2 AES 256-bit encrypted and controlled secure container environment.

Fixmo Sentinel now offers full support for iOS 6 devices including updated policy controls for restricting access to new services such as Apple’s book store, shared photo stream, diagnostic submission, game center and more. Fixmo Sentinel 4.3 with updated support for iOS 6 devices is now available for Fixmo’s customers.

Fixmo has also updated the Fixmo SafeZone secure container solution to ensure enterprise and government customers can keep all corporate data and apps encrypted, contained and under IT control on iOS 6 devices. The enhanced version of Fixmo SafeZone will be demonstrated at the Gartner Symposium ITxpo event from October 21-25 in Orlando, Florida, and will be made available to Fixmo customers soon after the event.

“The workforce is more mobile than ever, but the myriad of devices available can introduce significant risks for sensitive corporate information if not properly secured,” said Tyler Lessard, Chief Marketing Officer at Fixmo. “Fixmo is dedicated to supporting the latest mobile devices and operating systems to help ensure that our customers can remain protected and compliant no matter which mobile platforms and device ownership models they choose to support.”
