IRVINE, Calif., June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- iStor Networks, a leading technology provider for iSCSI networked storage, is pleased to announce their partnership with ASUS, a US$12B leading provider of integrated 3C solutions (Computer, Communications, and Consumer Electronics), at the 2006 Data Storage Expo in Tokyo, Japan with their flagship product, GigaStorATX(TM).
iStor Networks and ASUS will exhibit the 10GbE version of the GigaStorATX within the highly integrated ASUS storage subsystem. Based on iStor's award winning GigaStorATX technology, ASUS will demonstrate its iSCSI products, the i316-A1, a New Generation 3U iSCSI RAID Subsystem. The integrated product provide very high performance at affordable pricing, allowing scalable capacity with a feature rich product set to meet the market needs.
Product highlights at the show include:
1. The GigaStorATX integrated into the ASUS i316-A1 iSCSI SAN array
directly replaces parallel SCSI in DAS and NAS environments and
supplement/replace FC in SAN environments.
2. ASUS' implementation of GigaStorATX provides a Highly Integrated
10GbE iSCSI Storage Subsystem, eliminating the need for Server or
Mother-Board Technology. The GigaStorATX iSCSI Controller provides a
full complement of iSCSI technology, the SOC (System on a Chip), an
integrated storage-virtualization firmware stack and SMI-S compliant
management suite.
3. GigaStorATX enabled i316-A1 subsystem provides to current NAS system
suppliers the opportunity to create block-based, cost-effective RAID
storage solutions. With iSCSI SAN implementations based on
GigaStorATX technology, NAS providers may scale up computing power,
storage performance and capacity on demand separately.
4. GigaStorATX in addition to product Flexibility and superior
Affordability, provides best in class Performance; 1,160MB/sec cache
read performance.
The GigaStorATX allows OEMs, VARs, and System Integrators to be iStor-iNabled(TM) and use off-the-shelf PC Server and Storage ATX enclosures to build high performance, feature rich, and power efficient, cost effective iSCSI RAID subsystem storage solutions.
The 10GbE ASUS iSCSI storage product solutions will be exhibited in the Newtech Booth, #52-001 at the Tokyo Big Sight during the Data Storage Expo, June 28th to the 30th.
