Evidon, the global leader in revealing the invisible web, today announced that it has appointed Todd Ruback as Chief Privacy Officer and former Wall Street Quantitative Equity Analyst John Kittrell, as its first Data Scientist.
In this newly created role, Ruback will work with regulators, legislators, and privacy thought leaders, as well as support Evidon’s product and business development initiatives. Ruback is an accomplished privacy attorney who has assisted organizations to implement best privacy practices, performed privacy assessments, and has been appointed to numerous insurance carrier panels as a preferred privacy attorney to oversee complex data breaches.
Prior to joining Evidon, Ruback led the Privacy and Technology Law Group with New Jersey-based law firm DiFrancesco, Bateman, Coley. He currently serves as president of the Privacy Special Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Evidon has also strengthened its leadership team with the addition of Kittrell as Data Scientist. Kittrell will conduct research to enhance the company's existing products and help develop new offerings. Before joining Evidon, he led the data science efforts at MyCityWay, a mobile software start-up in New York. As a former Wall Street quantitative analyst and technology innovator, Kittrell’s academic work has appeared in publications such as The Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society, Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, and The Handbook of News Analytics in Finance. Kittrell holds a PhD in pure mathematics from UCLA.
“As the digital ecosystem and data collection become more complex, we are fortunate to attract top talent like Todd and John to help take Evidon to the next level,” said Evidon CEO Scott Meyer. “Their experience will help us to continue to provide our privacy leadership to the market, and to develop our unique market intelligence services further. I’m thrilled to have them on the team.”
