LAWRENCE, Kan., Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Briggs Subaru, Lawrence Subaru dealership, couldn't be happier for Subaru of America and the fact that they broke their yearly sales record with two full months of sales remaining in 2012. Briggs Subaru, like the rest of the Subaru dealerships across the nation, helped Subaru of America reach this feat as they had a hard time keeping all of Subaru's new vehicle models on their lot throughout 2012.

Subaru of America's previous yearly sales record was 266,989 units, which was recently surpassed in October, as Subaru of America looks to raise the bar higher for next year.
Several factors helped aid Subaru of America to a record year including updated vehicle models and new vehicle models altogether. The Subaru XV Crosstrek and Subaru BRZ made their debut during 2012 and their presence was felt as Subaru dealerships across the nation sold out of their inventory.
Thomas J. Doll, Subaru of America's Executive VP & COO, talked about Subaru of America's strong 2012, stating that, "Subaru is celebrating yet another record. Our brand is poised to exceed sales of 320,000 vehicles for 2012 and with a full year of sales for the XV Crosstrek and other new models on the way, we expect 2013 to be yet another record year for Subaru."
