ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/08/12 -- Documentary Week (DocWeek) have invited Pozible, Australia's only crowdfunding platform, to create a Pozible Pitch during DocWeek to help filmmakers raise funds for their work. Pozible was developed 2 years ago to showcase creative projects and has been successfully raising funds for artists, filmmakers, designers, software developers, and more. The largest amount of money raised through the Pozible crowdfunding platform for an individual campaign is $243,000.

Joost den Hartog, Director of Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) and DocWeek, said, "It's great that Pozible are on board as a partner; documentary makers will have another opportunity to raise money for their films online via Pozible and then pitch their film to a live audience of documentary lovers at DocWeek. The Pozible Pitch at DocWeek and AIDC adds the general public as active participants to its traditional market line-up of broadcasters, agencies and investors."

Submissions are now open on the DocWeek and AIDC website and close on the 21st December 2012. Successful applicants will be offered a mentoring session with Pozible to support their Pozible on-line campaign which is expected to go live on-line in February 2013. During DocWeek the filmmakers will have another opportunity to pitch their film to a live audience and raise further cash.
