BLiNQ Media, a leading global innovator of Social Engagement AdvertisingSM solutions for agencies and brands, today announced further office and team expansion, following its acquisition by the Gannett Company in August, and the promotion of Luis Caballero to Chief Operating Officer.
CTO Promoted to COO
BLiNQ has promoted Chief Technology Officer Luis Caballero to Chief Operating Officer. Luis joined BLiNQ in 2010 with deep experience in marketing, business management, social media, and interactive development, having previously served as lead online marketing manager at AT&T and director of technology for Vitrue. Luis helped to build BLiNQ’s development and product team, and has led the development and evolution of the company’s flagship technology, the BAM (BLiNQ Ad Management) platform. He has also been instrumental in shaping and nurturing the firm’s long-term relationship with Facebook® as a PMD (Preferred Marketing Developer), as well as with other social media partners. With his expanded role as COO, Luis will be responsible for general control and supervision of the company’s day-to-day operations and management across all departments and offices.

Expansion at Technology and Corporate Headquarters
BLiNQ will be relocating its technology headquarters in January to a new building and larger office space at The Promenade II, in Atlanta’s Midtown area. As part of the move, BLiNQ is doubling its Atlanta office space to accommodate expansion needs. BLiNQ’s New York corporate headquarters recently moved to larger offices in TechSpace, in New York City’s Union Square, because of the growth on its sales, media and account management teams. The dramatic growth of the teams over the past year to support technology advances and innovation, master service agreements with agency partners, full-spectrum managed services for customers, and integration with Gannett’s retail data and technology has prompted the expansion.
The Atlanta headquarters has been located at Georgia Tech’s ATDC (Advanced Technology Development Center) since 2009, when it was accepted into the prestigious business incubator program, which Forbes named one of the world’s top ten incubators in 2010. BLiNQ graduated from the program in March 2011 after demonstrating significant growth and customer adoption of its technology and services.
Technology Team Growth
As a result of the adoption of the BAM platform for managed services accounts and licensed customers, as well as ongoing technology and media innovation in social engagement, mobile and local at scale solutions, BLiNQ is further expanding its world-class Atlanta-based development team. The additional team members will help deliver innovations in technology and media for social engagement, mobile and local at scale; integration with Gannett data and technology; Facebook compliance; and rapid delivery of leading-edge solutions for Social Engagement Advertising on Facebook and other social media platforms.
