Love your Garden - Episode 4

Episode 4 of "Love your Garden", with Alan Titchmarsh and David Domoney saw the pair looking for the ideal centrepiece to bring together "the largest and most challenging makeover they had ever attempted".

The garden also had a special significance for the family involved, as a way of keeping alive the memory of a loved one.

Getting the look

Having discussed garden paving designs and ideas, the team opted for the Bradstone natural sandstone spinning circle in modac. Engraving this especially for the show, was an additional personal touch, while a shingle gravel surround enhanced the paving under a pergola.

This was a huge job and a massive makeover which required 2 tonnes shingle, 20 of ballast for in and around the large pond area, 10 tonnes of sharp sand for bedding, and 20 x 25kg bags of rendering sand. Bradstone supplied all of these products exclusively for the show.

Multimix Gravel was also used for the pond and around the edges of the circle.
