TURRACHER HÖHE, Austria, February 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Skiing in the springtime at Turracher Höhe lasts until May 1 and comes guaranteed with lots of sunshine and perfect snow. Those who love spring skiing and culinary delights will be able to savor homemade organic ice cream served by the Pistenbutler right on the ski-runs, and treat themselves to a gourmet safari that includes five culinary stations in the skiing region as part of the "Ski-Frühlings-Kulinarium" (Spring Skiing Culinary Delights).
Ryanair flys from London/Stansted 1x/week to Klagenfurt. Advantageous transfers from the airport Klagenfurt to Turracher Höhe for € 30,00/person.
Starting on March 16 for the spring skiing season, the Turracher Höhe Pistenbutler (ski-run butler) will serve instead of the usual Prosecco sparkling wine the best ice cream of the Nockberge-mountainside farm. The ice cream comes from the highest-located dairy farmer of Carinthia, the only one that produces its own ice cream. Spring skiers can choose from exclusive flavors, including Prosecco ice cream for those visitors that don't want to miss out on the Pistenbutler's usual offering of Prosecco sparkling wine. The "great ice (cream) age" at Turracher Höhe lasts from March 16 until May 1, 2013.
The Ski-Frühlings-Kulinarium (Spring Skiing Culinary Delights, taking place March 15 until March 17, 2013) takes visitors on a treat-filled safari that includes five culinary stops in the skiing region. For one special weekend, skiing will take a bit of a back seat. The focus will be on the chefs, mountain hut innkeepers and barkeepers, the outstanding local products and the gourmets, who for three days can savor some of the best offerings at Turracher Höhe. The culinary kick-off takes place on Friday, March 15, 2013 - and it is followed by four other tasty stops.
- Turracher Höhe Firn week (March 16-23, 2013): 7 nights with 2 meals (half-board), includes 6-day lift pass, a guided museum tour "alpin+art+gallery", a guided snow shoe or winter hike as well as one ride on the NOCKY FLITZER: starting at € 598,-- per person
- Turracher Höhe Firn days (April 2-6, 2013): 4 nights with 2 meals (half-board), includes 3-day lift pass, a guided snow shoe or winter hike and a ride on the NOCKY FLITZER: starting at € 349,-- per person
