CORE Security, a leading provider of predictive security intelligence solutions, reported 2012 was another year for growth and momentum throughout the business – including sustained revenue growth, record renewal rates, and new innovative solutions.

Financial Highlights
For fiscal year 2012 ended December 31, CORE Security reported its 11^th year of consecutive record revenue and bookings growth. Sales for CORE Insight® continued to grow, doubling the customer count during the year. The Company set record renewal rates for both Insight and CORE Impact® Pro as compared with their 2011 levels. The continuing innovation delivered in CORE Impact drove significant growth in average selling price, customer accounts and renewals. In addition, the company extended its reach within the security market through training activities that added more than 250 Core Impact Certified Professional (CICP) experts across more than 130 companies.

During the year, CORE entered into technology partnerships to bring advanced predictive security intelligence solutions to the industry’s best known companies including; IBM, RSA, McAfee and HP. The company continued to develop its channel program and focus, with the launch of the CORE Secured® Partner Program, which added 23 new partners. These new and existing partners drove approximately 50 percent of CORE Security’s 2012 bookings worldwide.

CORE Insight, Impact Pro
During the year, CORE released the second-generation of CORE Insight, which offers a comprehensive set of vulnerability management capabilities while feeding key analytics to the security ecosystem. Insight enables organizations to improve IT security, optimize budgets, increase efficiency of security operations, and predict threats without disrupting operations. The company also announced two significant upgrades to its industry-leading CORE Impact Professional vulnerability assessment and penetration testing software. Impact Pro allows organizations to proactively test IT infrastructure and identify exactly where and how an organization’s critical data can be breached.

Industry Recognition
CORE Impact Pro again received industry accolades and awards including an SC Magazine 5-Star Review with an honored “Lab Approved” designation. The company’s solutions were included in several industry analyst reports during the year. CORE Security earned a Boston Business Journal Pace Setters award for its growth, and was also named to the Inc. 5000 listing in 2012.

Security Research Leadership
CORElabs security researchers focused throughout the year on vulnerability discovery, exploit development, and cutting-edge research. During 2012, CORElabs discovered and issued half a dozen vulnerability outbreak advisories. These advisories provided relevant details that allowed vendors to develop patches to remediate potential security issues within products from companies like: SAP, Windows, Webex, and VMware. In parallel, CORElabs’ team of exploit writers researched and developed hundreds of new vulnerabilities. Over the years, the researchers have now identified more than 2,800 methods to attack various elements of a target IT infrastructure. CORElabs experts presented at several industry events including: AppSecLatam2012, Hack.Lu, Eko Party, EUSec West, and BRUCON.
